Another Administrative Day

There are a lot of administrative items that need to be addressed this week. Today most will be going with their respective sections to take individual and group section photos. Each section will also meet to discuss reimbursement vouchers. Not being a financial person, this will be an education for me.

Since there was some down time this morning after breakfast, I went to the locker room, changed and went for a thirty minute run (3 miles). It sure was overcast, warm and real humid this morning. I am still wiping off sweat from an hour ago. Physical wellness is a large component of this training and one might as well give in, go train (cardio and strength) and get it behind themselves. This will make it easier and less strenuous for the P.T. classes and the group physical challenges. Still, it is not an easy thing for an old guy. But, I'll make it, and do my best.

Worked on some homework, then off to the auditorium in my business suit for individual photos and then the group photo. Imagine that. I was placed on the front row with the rest of the vertically challenged.

We then went as a group to one of the classrooms for voucher lesson(s) and completions from the financial staff at the FBI Academy. They handle this for four National Academy Sessions per year, many New Agent Classes (there are four going on now, in various stages of progression), New Intelligence Analysts Classes, as well as for the entire Academy Staff. They keep busy.

After that, it was off to the library for a tour and instruction. It was interesting that the FBI Academy library is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However, it is only staffed normal business hours, Mondays-Fridays. Our ID cards have barcodes, for tracking materials checked out. Very cool system.

More studying and then the best part...dinner. The International students are having a special dinner hosted just for them, tonight. I hope that they enjoy it. They are an awesome group of professionals!
